Snapshot of Our Food System

Eat the City: What We Learned About Food Systems in St. John’s is a snapshot of local food system issues and strengths.

Inside you will find information about food production, distribution, access, consumption, and waste. The results of the Household Food Survey help us understand food-related strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. It shows how people obtain food, transportation, programs, and ideas about the future of food in St. John’s.

This information will inform a community action plan on food, with recommendations for policy, programs, and investment to address gaps in our food system.

Many people and organizations helped to make this report possible, and we are grateful for their voices.
