  • Food on the Move is a bi-weekly pop-up grocery shop that sells affordable fruits and vegetables at locations throughout the city. We use our bulk-buying power to purchase large quantities of fresh produce and divide it into household-sized portions to get the best value. We then pass these savings on to our customers.

  • Food on the Move is for everyone! Whether you live in the neighbourhood or are just passing by, we welcome everyone to our pop-up shop!

  • We accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards. We also accept Food on the Move gift cards, which you can purchase and reload at our pop-up shop.

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables cost $2 per item or three items for $5. Many of our fruits and vegetables will be bundled as a single item. For example, a bunch of bananas count as one item. As we add more variety, some products may be priced individually. Our goal is to keep our products high quality and as affordable as possible!

  • Our pop-ups happen bi-weekly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, depending on the location. For a full list of our upcoming pop-ups, visit our Upcoming page.

    Is there a time of day or day of the week that you would like to see Food on the Move visit your neighbourhood? Then visit our Contact page and send us your suggestions so we can improve our service!

  • Food on the Move will operate year-round, including during the winter. During the winter months, we will be indoors at the community centre buildings, but we will continue to offer the same great prices and selection of fruits and vegetables!

    Stay tuned for updates about pop-up locations and dates during the winter!

  • We are currently popping-up at the following locations: Buckmaster’s Circle Community Centre, Froude Avenue Community Centre, MacMorran Community Centre, Rabbittown Community Centre, and Virginia Park Community Centre. For details about these locations, visit our Upcoming page.

  • Pre-orders are not currently available but we are working on it. Stay tuned for updates about pre-order options!

  • Food on the Move sells fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable price. We also offer reloadable gift cards for sale. We are working towards offering other grocery staples, like eggs and bread, so keep an eye out for product updates in the new year.

  • Our product inventory will change from week to week and we cannot guarantee that we will have a particular item at this time. We are aiming to offer more consistency in the future, but we’re not there yet!

  • We source some of our products from local farms. Availability will change throughout the year. Our main priority is getting our customers the best prices and keeping our products affordable. When we have local products they will be labeled so you can easily find them. Curious about the local products on the table? Ask our staff!
